The arrogance seeks to transfer that inferiority to another... but, the smart money is on the happy camper..

Now ask me if I would ever go there again?

Depends on if you drove from Worms or not...

Ya know, LR, my brother stayed in France for a few months, and they treated him great. In fact they said they liked americans except those like some weenie who gave them attitude who used to drive through to play chess with some Germans ;)

CitizenSmith,
I lived in Liege for a few months back in the mid '80s and we also had a factory down in Bordeaux... it was '86 cuz LeMond road by when I was in Bordeaux.. I didn't drive often - took the train out of Paris and do remember alot of weenie types who were scattered about acting like they were hamburger or something.. They often thought they could beat a US Master (Chess) cuz they all presumed they were at least International Masters and strut like peacock Grand Masters speaking German.. but, alas even the grandest are but able to lift one leg at a time while putting on pants... standing up. What is this chess game anyhow... something to do with war or something, isn't it...?

You lived in Belgium for a couple of months?

Freegeeks,
You lived in Belgium for a couple of months?

I lived in Liege.. had an appartment (all stuck together) in the heart of the city. We (the company I worked for) purchased Sacra, SA. that had its facility in Liege and we purchase another down in Bordeaux. Being the CFO of the Corporate Entity I really just visited here and there. Really liked the area and of course the people were great. Treated me like one of their own... One resturant owner would make sure everyone in the place knew that the Yanks were back..:)
