At Gamestop, Funcoland, Babbages, Software Etc, Planet X they are offering a $50 MIR on all new consoles until Dec 15. Just buy the system, 2 new games at $39.99 or greater and a new accessory priced $19.99 or higher. Then you get the $50 back. Basically if you got a PS2...then got GTA: Vice, and the new James Bond game with a memory card you get one of the games for free. It is a MIR which is why it's not so hot, but it's good for a gift if a gamer in your home wants an Xbox or something.

Would be a better deal if MIR is valid for purchases from ebgames.com, which is an MSN rewards participant.

Sorry to ask but just had a quick question.

Is this MSN rewards program automatic when i use the MSN passport checkout thing.? I've been hearing a lot about it through this forum and how its a 20% discount, etc from ebgames but i can't find anything on their site about it.

I think it isn't really a discount, but MSN rather gives you 20% back of what you spent to use at the same store. All you have to do is wait til March or Feb. to start using that cash back.

Example: Buy a $100 worth of games, if the purchase goes thru you get 20% back

So... you spend $100
MSN gives you $20 back

In essence you spend $100, but MSN "reimburses" you 20%

I hope that helps even by 1%, I pre-ordered the Zelda for Gamecube, when my purchase it taken from my CC, MSN gives me back about $12 to spend at ebgames.com
