Maybe it's time for a hybrid

Thanks for doing your part of saving the planet and conserving precious fossil fuels for people like me.

Thats a G Coupe guys, Were you drag racing? Only time I got 12ish mpg on my Nav was when I did 10 1/4 mile runs lol.

Get a M35h 🙂

Reset fuel economy meter + WOT = bad economy regardless of vehicle. Some will do worse than others, but I've seen about the same in my Fusion.

The Mustang, on the other hand, will be measured in gallons per mile. 😉

wow if thats a g35 thats pretty sad mileage unless you were trying to make it look bad.

I drive a 84 chevy 3/4 ton with a carbed 350 that gets better mileage than that, while towing a g35 🙂

I average about 21mpg in my Maxima in mixed driving. It drops a bit in just city driving though.

My next car will be smaller and more fuel efficient for sure.

He took that picture shortly after filling up - 11 mpg and 249 miles left on the tank would imply 22.63 gallons remaining, so unless the gas tank is 30+gallons, it was probably just the drive home.

And for the entire time I've been driving my car, I've averaged about 45 mpg. My best is ~59 mpg over the course of a 250 mile trip, but I have a hybrid, thus I am cheating. I could push it higher with some of the "tricks" that hyper-milers do, but a lot of it starts sacrificing safety (ridiculously over-inflated tires) or time (driving no faster than 55. F-that, I'm going 75-80 on the interstate and getting there in half the time).

Do I win?

Distance to Empty: 71 Miles!
LOL, 2 Gal. gas?
You'll be lucky if you get 50K miles before your fuel pump burns up if you keep that up.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I always fill up before I get down to 1/4 tank.
Fuel pumps are expensive and too darned hard to change!

Smaller does not always mean more fuel efficient.
Wifes Lincoln Town Car gets 22-26 MPG!
Big & luxurious, + decent gas mileage.

Drove it to Lexington last Friday, got average 23.8 @ 60-65 MPH.
My Caddy does 23- 27 typically.

My Silverado, on the other hand, gets a straight 9 MPG, no matter what (Unless I am pulling a loaded trailer!), but that 405 Horsepower sure comes in handy sometimes.
