yes. I collapse all cans put in the recycle bin. They take up less space that way.
I also turn the pull tab 90degrees so as to ID it as mine, especially when in the company of others.

Yeah I crush cans, but its for practical purposes.

When you have 3-4 trash cans all full of beer cans every little bit of space you can save helps. Not to mention it cuts down on the noise of taking out trash bags full of nothing but beer cans.

I can't wait until I get out of this goddamn dorm and can just move over to kegs instead
