Is there such a program, that will close everything except for explorer and systray? I doubt that there is, but i just hate ctrl alt del so many times, oh well, just a question.

Do you mean disable all of your startup items? If so, just click "run" and type "msconfig" hit ENTER and then click on "startup"(should be all the way to the right) and then uncheck all the items you don't want to start. This is assuming that you are using W98. Hope this helps!

no, i am saying for instance, i want to defrag, and i close everything except for systray and explorer. Plus on this computer now, games play alot smoother without everything else running, and i want to just have a shortcut to do it.

Someone on this board clued me in to this program a year or so ago. It's called Enditall. Does exactly what you want.

There is the occasional program it won't close. For instance, I have a program called Remote Disconnection Utility that it won't close. It works very well.
