May's looking to be a good month for films (April is abysmal). Are you guys going to watch any (0-5) movies?

Here's the outlook (I left out movies that I wouldn't consider):

MAY 1, 2009
X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE - Starring Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber
- should know what this is

MAY 8, 2009
STAR TREK - Starring Chris Pine and Anton Yelchin
- should know what this is

MAY 15, 2009
ANGELS AND DEMONS - Starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor
- sequel to Da Vinci Code

MAY 22 (21), 2009
TERMINATOR SALVATION - Starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington
- should know what this is

MAY 29, 2009
UP - Featuring the Voices of Ed Asner and Christopher Plummer
- Yet Another Pixar Movie. Probably going to throw away my $$$ to every Pixar film :

-----------------

edited w/ some info. i only threw in Angels and Demons to take out that 1 spot left to make it an all-friday affair.

edit 2: considered doing this for the next couple months, but the movies are either unfamiliar or look like crap.
here's outlook:
June - Transformers.
July - Harry Potter 6 (maybe Public Enemies).
August - GI Joe. that's it, really..

I'll watch them all at some point, maybe even all in the theatre if other people really want to go, but the only I will definitely be seeing in the theatre right around release time will be Terminator.

Already saw Wolverine. It wasn't that great.

Not a Trek fan, but I actually want to see this one.

Terminator I will watch, but who knows, it might suck. I'll watch it anyway.

Don't know anything about the others.

Angels and Demons was a much better book than DaVinci Code, will check it to see if it translates to film.

I'll most likely see Wolverine, Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation. I'm not 100% sure about Up as I've never seen a trailer, so I'll have to do so. I'm not that interested in the Da Vinci Code 2, as I never saw the original, but the trailer looked somewhat interesting.

I like seeing a movie every week during the summer as it becomes a bit of a ritual and a time to relax.

Looking at this list from RT ( http://www.rottentomatoes.com/...iled&view=Summer+2009& ), I don't think I'll be able to do it this year.

Put me down for Wolverine, Star Trek and Terminator (this one probably twice).

Did not get the Davinci Code, so probably won't give this a shot unless June turns out to be a shite month.

Seen Star Trek already and it is good, will see again in IMAX.

Will see the rest with T4 leading the way for my interest.

I put yes for all except Wolverine with a maybe. I am still in the air about it.. I know it is going to suck badly... if you need further proof of that watch the char profiles they have posted on www.firstshowing.net .

But I don't know if knowing it is going to suck will stop me from watching it. I might have to go see how bad of a trainwreck it really is.

Star Trek : The Phantom Menace is the same boat, but I know I am going to see that. I think they are two different kinds of suck.

Wolverine being the kind that will piss you off as characters you know and love are twisted and destroyed. Where Star Trek: the Phantom Menace will just be large and overblown and comical. Hot Teens in Space base jumping onto other ships. What doesn't sound hilarious about that?

They have done that enough with the X-men movies that at this time it doesn't really matter anymore.

Interestingly only the third movie bothered me. The first two were almost acceptable because deep down they were really well told and interesting.

This Origins movie takes it to a new level. Seriously go check this out: http://www.firstshowing.net/20...ofiles/#comment-142125

They actually steal a line from Full Metal Jacket for the Deadpool profile. seriously?

T4 is my only definite yes on the list.

I might see ST for gay solidarity if I have a free night with nothing else to do.

probably won't bother seeing Wolverine, he's always been one of my least favorite X'ers. never understood his massive popularity.

Yes, maybe, yes, no, maybe

T3 was such a pathetic cash grab, 4 can only be worse.

Yes to Trek and T4, maybe on Wolverine depending on reviews, over my dead body on the Dan Brown crapola, probably not on Up.
