May be a dumb question re: buzzing noise from speakers

I'm sure there's an easy explanation for this, but I don't know what it is.
When I move the mouse pointer around my screen, the speakers make a buzzing sound (while the pointer is moving).

I've tried turning the computer volume up and the speaker volume down and vice versa.
I have also tried moving the speakers farther away from the monitor, no luck.
I don't have any other problems with the sound or stability.

I have a Samsung 700IFT monitor, an SBLive! Value, GeForce2 MX, Windows ME, a regular ol' 2-button PS/2 mouse, and two small Creative powered speakers.

Any thoughts?

umm, somehow the PS/2 port's electrical signals interfere with your sound card. I'm not sure this will work, but try moving your sound card to a different slot

I have a problem kind of like this with my ps/2 mouse/ asus p5a-b with onboard cmi 3880 audio, but my soundchip reports ps/2 refreshes (which is really high pitched with my 200 hz gaming mouse :p) AND the cpu led switching on and off, which gets really annoying, and this was a gradual change, not instant.
