------------------------------

Primary May 2009 Contest Theme:

* Movement
o Anything that moves...cars, athletes, animals, etc

Secondary May 2009 Contest Theme:

* Flash
o Post your best flash shots here

Tertiary May 2009 Contest Theme:

* "Anything Goes"
o I liked the idea of people taking a picture and it being a awesome shot but it not fitting in any category
o Please keep the pictures SAFE FOR WORK
------------------------------

Errors/Omissions:

* I try my best to keep everything organized on my end in regards to picture submissions and the names of users that submitted those. If you find any errors, PLEASE let me know so I may correct them. I've not been told that I've linked to wrong pictures, or labeled pictures with the wrong usernames yet, so I must be doing something right. But that's the last thing I want is giving credit for a photo to the wrong person.

Intact EXIF? So you can unfairly discriminate against people who use full-auto?!?

??

Any photo taken from any digital camera in any mode will have EXIF data. I was merely stating that all submissions SHOULD have EXIF to show that they were actually taken within the contest dates, and that they weren't overly Photoshopped, etc.

I don't see why you think that asking for all photos to have EXIF intact is unfairly discriminating against anyone...

He's actually discriminating against film users!

Finally got my camera back from Canon in usable condition, I look forward to partaking in this months fun 🙂

If your submission is a film scan, just note it. The EXIF data thing is not an absolute requirement...it's a rule that's been carried over from all previous contests.

April winners posted.

Again, please do not PM me entries for May. Send them to the email address in the original post. AT's PM system is very much a hassle to navigate and it would be much easier for me to sort through the pics if I had them all in one email account.

Thanks

i remember the very first photo contest anubis and I organized years ago...have been out of it for a while...busy with school and stuff, but i'm going to be ordering a d90 this friday, so i'll definitely be participating in next months...can't wait!

one question: what amount of post processing is allowed? for example, would an hdr composite of 3 frames be allowed?

Yes, you can basically do as much PP as you want, but we would prefer if the final image still looked somewhat like a photograph. But HDR is ok as long as it fits into the theme.

So, what's the June theme? If none have been decided yet, might I suggest "Vacation" or, for all the recent grads & their families, "Accomplishments" 🙂
