Maxtor one touch HD replacement

I have an original Maxtor One Touch 250g backup drive that has a dead 250 internal HD. Right now it has a maxline plus two 250g. Given that this is a sealed, vented but not actively cooled case, what drive should I replace it with?

I am thinking a 300gig 5400 RPM WD or Seagate.. comments?
 
Yeah get a WD.

But do you run it all the time? It will get pretty warm in that situation, regardless of drive but those Maxtors get smoking hot.
