Just wondering about the Maxtors RMA's I have a old maxtor 4 Gb. And it still has warranty😛

But the drive still works... But it is getting crappy in proformace, also maken weird noises!

And there r a couple scratches... on the hdd ...

All stickers.. and Sn .. seals not broken!

Do you think they will replace it ?
Do you think I should do an advanced Exchange?

please more info would bw great!

oh and one more thing... Will I get a larger drive in reture?

I find the advanced RMA to work the best. That way you get the new hard drive before you even have to send in the old one. I had to RMA my 13.0GB drive a while back because it was making loud clicking noises. I did the advanced RMA and had my new drive in like 3 days.
 
The only way to get an RMA from Maxtor is if you use their hard drive tools, and it gives you an error code. WIthout that error code, it is unlikely you will be able to get an RMA.
