Maxtor D740X HDD, ATA-100 or ATA-133??

I just bought a Maxtor D740X 40 GB HDD. On the box it says it is ATA-100, but on the website it says these drives are ATA-133.
Just wondering, which one is it?

Not that it matters...Gamepc.com's tests with the D740X shows that using a ATA133 controller only improves performance of the drive by like 2%.

The Maxtor D740X is ATA-133,but as already stated there`s no real difference between ATA-100 & ATA-133.

Thanks!
I just wanted to check if it will still work. I think my motherboard only supports upto ATA-100

Slim.

They are backwards compatible, my Maxtor D740X is working fine with my Epox board which is ATA-100 spec .

i can already feel the speed of this drive running on my highpoint ata66 controller...
i guess it doesnt make much differents if you're running it on ata100 or ata133...
