Their warranty varies between 1-5 years depending on what drive you're buying. I believe the OEM drives tend to be 5 years though

This deal is cold. First off, I'm not a fan of the noisy Maxtor drives and second, you can get a bigger drive for $3 more with no tax if you're in California, plus no shipping.

To each their own. It depends on what you want. I have a raptor for my main drive and this was just for storage. To me noise is a big deal though. I had the Seagate 300GB with NCQ and it's great but I would rather have the extra 20GB.

This Drive has a 5 year warranty because it's part of their "Enterprise Storage products", hence it's has a longer warranty and better reliability.
According to Storagereview.com, the drive was built from the ground up as a SATA and supports NCQ.
