get a ibm GXP 40 gig for 150 dollars no rebates

its ok deal. US$ 133, but 5400rpm?? and 8? hr drive to canada, i'll pass on this
BTW computer city is compusa here, they just use that name up there in canada.

Evilimage, what kind of GXP? The 75GXP 40GB is an awful lot more than $199 CDN... Unless you're talking USD, but then that wouldn't contribute very much.

At Circuit City I see a Maxtor 30gb 7200 rpm HD for 99 bucks after an instant rebate of 20 and a mail order of 30. Only bummer is going to store after the madrush begins :^(

Computer City? Which cities is that in? The only one I've seen is in Calgary, 3hrs south of here (Edmonton). We have a CompCanada but their prices are FAR from competitive... might as well go to Future Shop to get snubbed and pay high prices. :(
