It's been at this price but "unavailable" for the past couple days. I have no idea why they're allowing orders to go thorugh, but they're just cancelling all of them a couple hours after you order

Mine was not cancelled. If I check order status now it just says Backorder.

The Manhattan Beach Fry's had plenty of the PATAs left on Sunday. Monarch has it for $122 + $6 shipping, so $90 + tax is a nice price but not super hot.

Not seeing a rebate for the maxtor SATA. Perhaps you are thinking of the seagate (which they shipped despite me canceling the order). I still haven't gotten any emails about the maxtor I tried to order when I saw this thread.

This would have been a good deal if it was SATA, but unfortunately it's not. Look for your performance to suffer.
How do you figure that? Leave cable clutter arguments aside, since rounded IDE cables make it pretty much a non-issue. NCQ? Turn that on and watch desktop performance suffer. ;)

I'll take my $0.24/GB Maxtor Ultra16 250GB PATA from CompUSA thanks :p
