Go to Staples.com
* Add Maxtor 15GB Hard Drive (Search for "437719") to your shopping cart for $79.98
* Add Iomega QuikSync & trade; 3.0 CD (Search for "461497") to your shopping cart for $39.95
* Apply $25 off $100 Coupon
* There is a $30 Rebate on the Maxtor Hard Drive until 06/09/2001 (Details at Staples)
* There is a $39.95 Rebate on the Iomega CD until 06/16/2001 (Details at Staples)

Your Final Price: $79.98 + 39.95 - $25 - $30 - $39.95 = $24.98 Shipped

Help, I need another $30 item(preferably free after rebate, or at least usefull) so I can use my $30 off $150 coupon at the B&M. Any suggestions?

You can use Professor Teaches Office XP 2002 (item #462318) which is $19.94 and has a $20 rebate. Then you add paper clips or something to get it over $100. It just worked for me.

Or what you can do is:

* Add Maxtor 15GB Hard Drive (Search for "437719") to your shopping cart for $79.98
* Add Asheron's Call V1.0 (Search for "IM1179718") to your shopping cart for $20.99
* Apply $25 off $100 Coupon

There is a $30 Rebate on the Maxtor Hard Drive until 06/09/2001 (Details at Staples)
There is a $20 Rebate from Microsoft.

Your Final Price: $79.98 + 20.99 - $25 - $30 - $20 = $25.97 + 3.79 (tax) Shipped

I had two orders go through without any indication that the Iomega was sold out - until I checked my emails. Took me 20 minutes on the phone with a very nice CSR named Salena (at x5486 in case you are in need of a sympathetic CSR with a pretty voice) to get me on the Asheron deal - thanks luv2Save and netants for the Asheron mention.

Guys, "shipped" means "price before the rebates".

If you have a $5000 can of Coca Cola from Cyberrebate and a $5000 rebate, that does not mean the can of Coke is $0 shipped.

Don't say it's $25 shipped if you have to pay $100 up front, then wait two months for $75 in rebates.

Much better:

Get the 15GB Maxtor (437719)
Individual Software Professor Teaches Office XP (462318)
1 Core Decor Tape Dispenser Core (MMMC15CORE)

That's 79.98 + 19.94 + 0.12 = 100.04. Now use a 25 off 100 and you'll pay $75.04 (plus that damn tax, of course) but you'll get back 50 in rebates, making your final cost ~$30. If nothing else, a great deal on a decent hard drive.

Even hotter would be to try and PriceMatch the 15GB Maxtor. I can't find the exact model # on PriceWatch, but I see a vendor which claims to have a 15GB/5400RPM Maxtor (probably the same drive, and it doesn't say whether OEM or retail boxed) in stock for $68 or $69. You could try to match that and save you another $10... (of course they may try to sneak overnight shipping from that vendor in, which would negate the deal.)

Doesn't look like you can, "One Rebate per name/family/address". Complete terms and conditions are here.

I have gotten about seven Staples rebates with zero problem. It is nice that they send e-mail confirming they received the rebate and you are able to check on progress at their website.

To compare Staples rebates to Cyberebates is the dumbest remark I have heard in these forums.

Here's the link to MS website that refers to Asheron's Call rebate Linky. Rebate is good till 12/31/2002. "Unless otherwise noted, you can find a product's mail-in rebate inside the product box once you purchase it."

Question:

I just call Staples and they told me that the Iomega QuikSync was out of stock but it let me add it to my cart online. So I checked out and used the $25 off $100. Now, once I get confirmation that the item is out of stock, will they refund me the $39.99 they charged me for it? ...and if so will they take off my coupon because I drop below the $100 minimum? Anyone had any experience with this type of thing?
