Great deal if you can get in on it. I don't really rely on the mail in rebates, but either way it's worth the try.

Well, that's weird. I had the same problem with another item, so I tried in in IE and the link showed up. It's invisible with Firefox for some reason.

Huh? If you don't get the rebate on this one, you paid way too much. However, if you feel that whoever handles the rebates are honest and reliable, then it is a good deal.
 
Well now, it's not available anymore. OD just send me a $10 off coupon also to make it even sweeter. Wonder if it'll work.

Very tempting. I need a new hard drive for a computer I am giving away.

It is one of these situations where it is a hot deal if you get the MIR, it is a rip off without the rebate.

Thanks OP. A bit hesitant but I'm in for one. I wish either they would do a better job padding the item, or not use UPS. Got a HDD from OD two weeks ago and it was at the very bottom and end of the box with the air pillows on top and other side of it. What good does that do? OM has done the same thing in the recent past. And I've seen the UPS guy throw the boxes a good distance/drop onto my and several neighbor's porches. Haven't seen FedEx do it yet. Either way they need to pad them better. Maybe that's why there are so many HDD failures. LOL.

Tried to do in store pickup but wouldn't let me. Wish I could have delayed shipping until Black Friday when I'll be home. 🙂
Also my mom ordered the same HDD from OD by phone like I did two weeks ago, and it never came and they have no record of it. Even gave her a bogus order # and the total price the CSR gave her didn't include tax. Crazy.
 
Office Depot is always running this deal. I got this same deal 6-7 months ago. Rebate took like 4 months. The hard drive works great. Actually, its in the computer I'm on right now. No failures. UPS gets it done, no need to hate.
 
Well I just ordered one. I wondered why it kept on rejecting the $10 of coupon until I read that it excludes technology items. $20 is still a great deal.
