Red Dawn:

<<ColdTech, there's no doubt that the Duron is the best bang for the buck. I was just stating that whwen it comes to value (inexpensive) the celeron is still the leader due to the fact that if can run on Motherboards with older technology thus making it cheaper to build a C2 system.>>

I agree. But from the standpoint of building a new system, Duron will win.

<<Regarding the Socket A Slocket. It must run like crap because I haven't heard of it and you know if it worked there'd be a rush to buy them . After all, who in there right minds would pay $150+ for an Abit Board just to OC their Durons if they could get a Sloket and a Slot A board for under a bill.>>

Why pay $150+ for Abit when the Auss A7V can be had for $130?

I haven't seen the issue discussed here yet, but I saw last month's about the dream machine. Their gushing over RAMBUS made me sick to my stomach. They obviously are not in touch with the real hardware scene.
