Maximo PS2 $9.99 Used at Blockbuster

I picked up a used copy of Maximo: Ghosts to Glory for Playstation 2 at my local Blockbuster for $9.99 the other day. I'm pretty sure they have the same prices at all of their stores. It's a great game. Seems like a rather warm deal to me. This is my first attempt, so please do not kill me if this is not a good deal!

KB Toys B&M has many PS2 games for 50% off right now. They also have 50% off the lowest ticketed price on Dreamcast software and accessories. (Just make sure you check your receipt, as some of the employees cannot grasp the "lowest ticketed" part).

My Blockbuster never seems to have this sort of aggressive pricing. The PS2 stuff--even the lame games---are usually like $29 or $39---and even the Dreamcast stuff tends to be over $20. I can't believe they succeed in selling any of their used stuff with this strategy.

My local Blockbuster also had a 25% off promotion on used games, tapes, and dvds. Picked up Maximo (marked 9.99) and Star Wars Racer Revenge (marked 14.99) for under $20 total after tax.

My Blockbuster in IL has the games marked still as $24.99 but came up in the system as $9.99 and after the 25% rebate the game total came out to be $8.01. No one at the store was aware of the price change, but was going to change the price labels now that they know about it. I almost bought this game brand new at Wal Mart just last week for full price, good thing I waited.

I just got back from a Blockbuster in a different part of town, all the Maximo are marked 24.99. When I inquired as to why they were not 9.99, the manager told me that the 24.99 stickers were covering the 9.99 stickers......it was all a pricing error and they should be 24.99. Anyone who got one for 9.99 is lucky!!! Weird stuff.

This seems to be nationwide. I picked up a copy at the Palm Bay, FL store for $9.99. They had stickers on them for $24.99, so you need to have them scanned first. Good luck.....

I bought a used copy of this @ BBV about a week after the game came out for $29.99. Its a good game for that price, it would be an awesome game at 9.99. I think I'm going to stop buying new games and just wait for BBV to have their holiday sales.
