Apex you sure about the week this will be onsale. I heard August 1 at costco for the visio 50? Do you know if it will still be in affect by then?

Thanks,

I'm just reading what the Costco Summer 2005 Passport booklet says. The date is written right on the coupon.

Wow, I never thought I'd say it but plasmas with good specs are actually starting to get affordable.

its getting freaking insane.... this fall-spring will see signifigant price drop

Cause we're getting closer to 2006 when, unless it gets pushed back again, all television will be broadcast in HD.

False (unfortunately).

In theory, when and if the deadline hits, all broadcast source in the US will be digital, however, there are no constraints on the resolution.

has anyone seen this? how is the video quality?

Im concern about the pixels on both dispaly
Pixel (Dot) Pitch:
0.81 (H) mm x .81 mm (V)

looks like vizio is a better deal since it is cheaper and
Color:
231 billion
Brightness:
1,000 cd/m2 (typical)
Contrast:
10,000:1 (typical)

than Maxent

I have not seen it yet, however, it's either based on the new Samsung panel or LG. I'm not positive which one, but they're both very good.

The pixel pitch is exactly identical to every other 50" 1366 x 768 panel on the market. That's the way fixed pixel devices work. It's nothing to worry about, especially not at normal viewing distances. I'm at about 8' away from my 50" plasma (it's at the foot of the bed), and cannot see the individual pixels.

Hey Apex, I spoke with you along time ago I dont know if you remember me. But I know you know your Audio and everything and I was hoping to get a hold of you as soon as possible. My parents are building a house and we are looking at there music packages that they have and everything. But then my moms friend offered to do it also but after the house is built because the builder wotn let anyone from outside of the company do anything. But if you could please email me or pm me with your AIM screenname so That I cuold talk to you about it I would greatly Aprreciate it.

Thanks

Vizio has much better PQ and features than the Maxent. There seems to be a hit and miss issue with fan noise on the Vizio however.
