For those of you that have Nexflix, but don't know what 'Watch Now' is...

Netflix has started allowing viewing of a limited number of titles(over 2000), right from their website. Basically, the number of viewing hours per month is based on the amount you pay on your plan. 1Hr per $1 you spend on your plan. For me $24, and 24hrs a month.

The special features on Maxxed Out aren't that great. I'd just watch it online.

Good movie, though!

i also like dvds because i can speed through special features if i bother. windvd 2x playback with normalized sound ftw!
and when a movie gets slightly boring and you just wanna see how it ends...

There is a slider on the netflix 'Watch Now' Feature, so you can fast forward/Rewind if you want.

If I could use the Watch Now feature streamed to my XBMC, I'd be all over it.

IE only though, no FF support. I watch the music-oriented content mostly.

Last time I looked at the Watch Now feature, the selection was pretty crappy.

Check it again. They have added a lot of content and the 'Category' listings actually work.

The selection getting better now that the feature has been publicly released. Don't expect to find top hits like Blood Diamond and The Departed in there yet, though.

The lack of Firefox support SUCKS, though. Every time I think that I can finally retire the IEView Firefox plugin, a site like this pops up that's IE only :|

Ummmm... I'm using FF with IE tab, and it works like a champ...

Its a slider like on WMP, so, you can put the slider in any part of the movie you like. There is no Fast Forward or Rewind as such....
So, no Chipmunk noise. If you FF to a portion that isn't buffered yet, it might take a few seconds to buffer that part of the movie.
With my cable modem it doesn't take any longer than 15-20sec to buffer the new portion. I have this hooked up on my HTPC, and the
picture quality varies between movies. Maxed out was pretty good quality, but since it is a documentary, who cares. I watched THX1138,
Which was Lucas's 1st movie, and it was pretty good quality too.

oh, guess its like any other player. i meant purposely running a video at 1-2x speed with normalized sound to get through faster. not just fast forwarding. its good for commentary and such things where they really don't talk fast enough or impart enough info to justify 2 full hours of watchin.

Ok, so I finally watched this movie.

Anyone else seen this? A bit overreaching, I find it difficult to blame the credit industry and the federal government and President Bush for America's credit card problem. I mean, jeez, doesnt ANYONE read any fine print when you are signing up for these credit cards and easy loans? There is certainly too much predatory stuff going on, especially how these companies market young kids. I wasn't very savvy when I went off to college but it took a couple of finance charges and late fees to straigten me out really quick. I just don't see how people get so far into debt so fast with really no possibility of repayment. Where do they think the money will come from? All in all I didn't care for the movie too much as you can tell. I guess people's irresponsibility and how they try and blame others for it is highly irritating to me. What happened to personal responsibility in this country?

I'd better stop now.

I picked it up at Blockbuster a couple weeks ago after seeing a thread here on it.

The only thing I went away with was "Wow these people are dumb."

And somehow it's the credit card company's fault.

That's good to hear, altho when I tried it last month I could never get it to work. It appeared to download the movie of a couple gigs, yet wouldn't play. Finally after trying it a number of times, netflix said I had used up my alotment and to come back next billing period. :frown:
