Hey guys, just curious if anyone knows what the maximum weight my waterblock can be on a old Socket A mobo? I read somewhere that the maximum weight for heatsinks on Socket A was about .500kg, but I'm sure a little bit more can be supported.
Has anyone here put a really big heavy heatsink or waterblock on their motherboard? The reason I ask is because I'm designing a custom waterblock of my own, and one of my ideas is to make a big cube waterblock- my reasoning is that the bigger it is, the more surface area it has and more water it can hold- you guys think its a good idea to attach something heavy on top of my cpu, or am I going to crush it to its death?
