Bruce's age only matters if you're a Max Payne geek like us and know that Max is supposed to be young. It won't matter to the masses and I can't think of anyone I'd rather have in the role.

BTW, will they have him fall asleep and go to 'dream world' and hop from ledge to ledge over a black abyss? That would suck as bad as first person Doom. :)

I guess, but in my mind, Max is a young, 30-ish guy with a mop of hair and a heavy packpack full of problems. I can envision David Duchovny playing the Video Game version of Max Payne moreso than Mr Willis.

I mean, Text.

Mel Gibson. Anyone whose seen the movie Payback knows why.

true, but he's a bit older now isn't he?

Good point. It was funny though, because when I watched payback on tv I thought that it was a max payne movie.

Clive Owen or Bruce Willis seem to me to be the logical choices. Actually Bruce Willis' character in Sin City was essentially similar to Max Payne.

My vote goes for Hugh Jackman...but I bet Clive would do a decent job. For some reasone after seeing the movie Closer...Clive dropped down a number of points on my list...maybe because he played such a convincing, violent, asshole.

Yeah, I would imagine that's where all the votes for Bruce come from - he played the framed cop in a dark and corrupt city, out to clear his name and save the day against all odds with only himslef and his grizzled, film noir inner dialogue to keep him company.

Last I checked, Max Payne has hair and Bruce Willis doesn't. I voted for Ed Norton.

Mel Gibson

Yeah... but they wouldn't be able to afford Mel. I seriously doubt any studio is gonna give a video game movie that kind of a budget.

Hugh Jackman would be good. As would Bruce Campbell, David Duchovny... I think Ewan McGregor could hack it too.
