How does the camera work while in bullet time? Does it stay in 3rd person view? I have the 3Dmark2001 benchmark demo does it look like that in any way?

Thanks

The camera is exactly the same in bullet time as it is any other time...the game just slows down.

The camera angle sometimes shifts away from 3rd person view. It looks a lot like the 3DMark2001 demo (when it is at it's best).

You'd think it would get annoying but it is very effective. Sometimes you get to see your enemies get hit by your bullets from a completely different view in slo-mo.

I like it. It adds variety not seen in other games.

EDIT: I didn't explain very well. When you are using 'bullet-time' you generally stay in the 3rd person view as in regular time - time just slows down and you get to see the 'track' of the weapons fire.

However, SOMETIMES you get to see the results of your handiwork - for example when you fire the sniper rifle, the camera tracks the bullet to its target and sometimes you get to see your enemy blown backwards.

BTW, there is a mod that is supposed to make the game into a FPS. I understand it is a bit buggy yet.

when youre playing the game, everything is 3rd person view unless you pause the game, or you shoot the last baddie in a room. if you do that, then the camera pans around the baddie as he falls to the floor riddled with bullets. quite fun to watch. the 3dmark 2001 demo was meant to show the game off, not for playability, so it'll rarely look like that
