Max file size?

Okay, I've been meaning to ask this one for some time... Does Windows ME or FAT32 in general have a maximum file size that you can create? I wanted to rip a whole DVD (yes my copy of Gone in 60 Seconds) and play around with it as far as turning it into the divx format. Smart Ripper seems to stop at about 3.99 GB files... it's weird.

Yes FAT32 is limited to 4G, even on an NT based system.

NTFS does not have this limitation, infact right now I have a 9G raw video file on my laptop.

if smart ripper is ripping to multiple 3.99GB files, and not just one 3.99 then dying, it's probably set to do that. this isn't a problem when converting to divx, at least not the ways I've done it. The .nfo file will have all the info your convert program needs to find all the 3.99GB .vob files...
