Max CPU for nForce3-A?

Yes, as long as they're socket 754 desktop processors. Mobile and DTR processors may not work.
 
I imagine the highest you could get is the 3700+ (LINK), but prices seem to be prohibitive for previous generation parts (that one costs as much as a Core 2 Duo 6600). That is unless you can find one cheap on Ebay.
