Don't care the platform, I'm just interested in whose computer has the max uptime.

EDIT: I'm now at 2 weeks, 5 days with Win2k Pro. Don't want to shut it down until I go home. But then I can't play this new game I installed!! Aargh!

How long has your computer been on?

Peace,

Out of curiosity, how about some of your other servers? Don't you manage a gazillion number of systems? :)

FreeBSD server: 55 days (electrical outage was last reboot)
My main computer (XP): 22 days

But, I think that overall I demonstrated my computer savvy a lot more by consistently keeping my laptop with Win98 up for 4-5 days straight without a reboot. (Under heavy usage -- not just letting it sit there.) It's almost trivial to keep a *nix machine running nonstop indefinitely.

No, only a handful. The one that's been up 6.5 months is Linux. My Win2k servers usually make it about two months before the mouse moves and I have to reboot.

The record for my dually Athlon (Win2K) was from 12/11/01 to 3/28/02. Had to reboot it when my UPS shipping software started crapping.

Unfortunately, I have to go home for summertime in two weeks, so I will not be able to have my computer on for more than a month. I hope to have it on constantly over the summertime though, which should be a tad under 3 months.

I'll never turn it off next year too...I just wonder how long this setup will last without my restarting. I have HEAVY usage on this machine (from myself mainly), and a lot of other people use it when I'm not on it to watch movies/anime and type on the IM and jazz like that.

Aww man, I had my hopes up. Start a new thread when it's 6.5 months. I'll be waiting!

23hrs, 9minutes, 8 seconds. I turn my computer off at night, so it's not because the computer crashed or anything. Btw, I'm running WinXP home.

I've gotten a little over 1 week on my Windows XP system, mainly because I update drivers all the time and just can't stand to leave it alone. :)

I used to have mine up for months at a time...

Now I turn it off whenever I'm not using it.

Work server: 39 days. I took it down for update last month, before that is was about 8 months. Home file/web/DNS/mail server: 63 days. It has been up since I moved. Before that it had an uptime of about 6 months. Servers are all linux.

Workstations: 98SE makes it about a week at a time. 2000 usually a month at a time, although I just rebooted them both yesterday.
