Currently running 66.93 drivers and on my chaintech geforce fx 5700le 256mb video card, the refresh rate for my xerox 17" lcd is maxed out at 60 hertz @ 1024x768. Anyone have any suggestions on what might be the problem. different drivers? refresh rate fix? I also tried the drivers off of the cd and still the same. I appreciate any feedback. thx!

btw. I know it can do 75 because I put a friends dell comp with dvi in and right away it came up as 75hertz. And it was a lower quality card so...:(

specs: P4 3.0 prescott, ECS MB, 512 pc2100, fx5700le 256mb, 500w ps....

perhaps try the 67.66 betas? that's strange, since your monitor and card both support higher refresh rates. see if the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" box is checked... if so, uncheck it and *test* it @ a higher rate.

tried the 67.66 and still doesn't work. when i uncheck the 'hide modes...', it doesn't even give me an option for anything higher. Any other suggestions?

wierd. switched to the vga cable and everything shows up now. I'm going to assume 75hertz on a vga would be better than a 60hertz on dvi? It's only a 17" lcd but with a 16ms rt.

refresh rate is irrelevant on LCDs, LCD's dont refresh, image is static until it changes, 60Hz, 160, it wont matter, it will look the same, youd be better off at 60Hz with the DVI cable, since LCD's process digital better then having to convert the analog from the vga cable

thx for the feedback. i just dont know what it could be that doesn't allow me to go over 60 hertz on dvi though. its gotta be the drivers...
