Maven Error??

I am receiving this error when I try to run my code. Can anybody help me with fixing this? Also can somebody tell me what Maven is?

Probably this is why. You are trying to log into a database which either doesn't exist or doesn't recognize your credentials. Which raises the question, why are you trying to access a database while building a simple sudoku app (this is not common)?

Maven is a dependency management/build tool/thingy. Maven does things like grabbing needed libraries or copying files from one location to another, or running tests against the project. It is really sort of a project management thing on steroids.

To really get maven, you have to work with it for a quite a while. Because it is big and complex many don't like it. We use it for my work and I find it fine. The biggest issue is really just initial setup for a new project, once you got that done everything is really pretty easy to deal with.

Thanks I figured it out. I did not have an instance of the database running. I am doing this for a class. The database is part of the project.
