I just picked these up... was either these or Oakley Polarized Square Wire 2.0. Still not sure if I made the best decision because the more I look at the Square Wire 2.0 the more I like them...

I like both and they both have their advantages. The Maui Jim one I bought it a little bigger than the Oakley, but my head is on the big side so that may be a good thing.

What I bought: http://www.mauijim.com/mjweb/public/cat...YLEID=405&WS943IMAGENAME=LFG405-02.jpg

In term of lense quality, Oakley doesnt come even close to Maui Jim. You made the right choice

Cool... that's what the sales guy said, but I wasn't sure if he was just blowing smoke to make a sale on these models.

Maui Jim frames are super-comfortable & durable too... I've had my current pair for 5+ years & they've survived skiing & being worn under a full-face motorcycle helmet without even a sign of wear, yes they are pricy but I'd buy another pair in a second.

I have owned three pairs of Maui Jim and trust me, once you're used to Maui Jim glasses, you'll never go back. If you want to buy Maui Jim at decent price, check out Costco.

I still buy Vuarnets (remember those?) - a little 80's retro on the name but the styles are up to date and the lenses are still right up there with the best. Prices are still in the $100 to $150 range (just picked up a new pair of the 4006 with the Skilynx lenses for $109.)

I really want some Maui Jim, but I am a bit short on cash for the time being.

And I like my Maui Jim frames better too... at first I wasn't sure about the flexible wire frame, but now I wouldn't wear Oakley if they were free.

I assume you're working for Luxottica/Sun Glasshut? Wait until they have associate week (I think they have it four - five times a year), then you can get Maui Jim for 50% off.
At 30% off, you're better off buying at Costco

Rayban isn't worth considering. If it was Revo, the story is a bit different. Though I still prefer Maui Jim

If Maui buys Oakley and start incorporating their lense/frame technology into Oakley design, the world doesnt need any other sunglass mfg.

I bought these a few months ago.

I love them. The only complaint is the arms don't close completely so you can't wear them on your shirt when aren't wearing them.

No experience with the MJ's but I have Square Wire 2.0s, both polarized and unpolarized pairs, and the only difference i notice is that the polarized glasses give me psychadelic color effects with my tinted windows and limited visibility of my nav LCD. Even with heavy glare, polarized glasses are overrated IMO.

Maui Jim makes one of the best sunglass lenses you can buy. Revo would be the only real competiton for quality. I have a killer pair that they replaced under warranty a few years back, but my dammed eyes went bad about that time, and I NEED prescription lenses to see nowdays...The only time I wear my Jims now, is in the pool...I always called them "air conditioning for the eyes".

I've got 5 pair of Maui Jims that I wear for fashion everyday. For outdoorsy, sports, shooting, anything active, I wear Oakleys (only have 3 pair of them.) They're more durable.

I dropped a pair of half jackets down the Palo Duro canyon, climbed down and got them. They were fine. I ruined a leather jacket in doing so though.

Before I bought my Maui Jim sunglasses, I thought I was nuts for wanting to spend so much money on them. After a couple of months of pure bliss, the right decision was made. :)

I don't see how sunglasses could be worth that much. Everyone seems to love em' though, so there's something i'm missing.
