mATX Conroe motherboards

there is a gigabyte 965 board which looks very promising.

i'd love to know if it had solid capacitors like its 965 ATX brothers and sisters..........?

well..the mobo rev. number is the most important issue...you can always flash the bios to the one required. You could always call newegg, but i dont think they can tell you what rev. number the boards are that are in stock. You might try a email note to asus support and ask if the appropriate mobo rev. number has started shipping yet. other than that its a shot in the dark. you should do a goggle search for other vendors that stock this board. some of them may be helpful in telling you what rev. number is in stock. remember you are looking for the mobo with rev. number 2.00g. if it has the appropriate bios thats great, if not you can flash it yourself.

Great find on the motherboard! I don't ussually OC SFF systems. Intel brand motherboard's lack of OC shouldn't be an issue as long as it accepts a wide variety of RAM with some slight ram voltage adjustment.

I'm not sure if that PSU has active PFC. I prefer active PFC for piece of mind when taking PCs to LAN parties.

I am looking for a mATX Conroe motherboard too!

So far the only ones I can find with clear support for Conroe are:
Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2
Intel BOXD946GZISSL

Any comments of either of those? The Gigabyte one looks pretty good, but there are no reviews yet. 🙁

I would probably use one of the P5LD2 boards from Asus if I could just be sure that I'd get a Conroe compatible revision.
