Matte Paint

Then just a few days ago I see a guy driving a matte black Chrysler 300 with matching rims (20s or higher). Damn, that thing was badass.

Was it even a R/T or SRT8? Or just another lame V6 ghetto cruiser.

It needs to be on the right car and it needs to be a high end paint job. Matte is actually really tough to get right. There are matte paints that are very easy to clean.

Yes. Done right. And even then, it's not.....amazing. Seems like a fad finish to me. Kinda like the rusty hoods. lol

I think matte paint looks good on cars that are very angular. So it works on Lambos and the Buick but I don't like it on M3s.

Drool. If there ever was a car MEANT to be matte/flat black, this is it.

Maybe, but I see spray lines in that car from that angle. Either that or the light is playing tricks. Matte is hard to spray. If you don't have exactly the right reducer for temperature and humidity you will get those lines. You can have problems in any paint but they show up nicely in a matte finish.

BMW's matte finish on some (or all) of their high-end cars is actually a vinyl wrap. So, if you wanted to try it out, you wouldn't need to repaint.
