Matte or Gloss?

Yes I know Matte and Gloss photo paper are have different uses, but if you could only choose one; which?

Post reasons why below?

Matte. Glossy is horrible. Glossy shows fingerprints. Glossy reflects ambient light and makes it harder to see the photo. I have never liked glossy prints. Never in any circumstances.

I rarely print digital images, but when I do, I prefer Epson Heavyweight Matte. In the old film days, when I was doing my own darkroom stuff - I like semi-gloss because of higher apparent visual resolution and detail. Again, that would depend on the purpose of the print. Technical pictures - semi-gloss - portraits, etc., matte.

I generally like matte better. I've also gotten some large prints from AdoramaPix done on their luster paper, and I really like the finish on those.

I pretty much always choose to print images on Matte with the border. The only time I would print glossy was when I was printing images at home and the Kodak matte paper I bought seemed just like heavyweight printer paper--nothing photographic about it.

I like the Fujifilm Lustre finish. I've had a few ordered for my own pictures from DeviantArt some time ago. They turned out stellar. I need to find out what other online shops offer same/similar products.
