Goodness gracious!
The memo field for the first of Gaetz’s transactions to Greenberg was titled “Test.” In the second, the Florida GOP congressman wrote “hit up ___.” But instead of a blank, Gaetz wrote a nickname for one of the recipients. (The Daily Beast is not sharing that nickname because the teenager had only turned 18 less than six months before.) When Greenberg then made his Venmo payments to these three young women, he described the money as being for “Tuition,” “School,” and “School.”
...
Gaetz and Greenberg are both connected through Venmo to this then-18-year-old woman—who now works in the porn industry, according to a friend of the girl. And on Thursday, Greenberg’s attorney and prosecutors indicated during a court hearing that they expect Greenberg to strike a plea deal, likely meaning he plans to cooperate with investigators.

That boy is DONE!

NPR, I think, also reported tonight (7pmish, that I heard) that Gaetz's attorney's are also floating around for plea options? ...already. lolwtf. I caught the end of that, so maybe I missed some bits, but I don't think they were talking about Greenberg's attorneys...

That was Greenberg's attorney. Gaetz plays 100% out of the new-GOP/Trump playbook-deny, deny, deny/lie through your teeth/always fight a scorched earth defense/and continue to deny even after loss or being conclusively proven wrong. No way in the world Gaetz will settle short of trial and multiple appeals.

OTOH Greenberg is facing a real 10 years in prison MINIMUM. The only thing he has to offer the feds that will be of interest is to roll on Gaetz AND offer solid documentary proof. It's getting interesting now.

And to think Gaetz is (was?) one of the rising stars from the GOP's corrupted creepy cast of Trump clones. Well if Trump can be a cult leader of the Repubs then Gaetz has to be as innocent and blameless as their Crime Lord in Chief because both of those guys are victims of a conspiracy plot hatched by Antifa and those commie socialists, right?

To think if the war on media had been a little more successful, Gaetz would have been perfectly fine able to get away with this and worse.

His partner in crime, Joel Greenberg is likely to strike a plea deal. While there are no released details about the possible plea agreement, these are the words of Greenberg’s attorney:

"I’m sure Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today"

This question has been posed before, can you be a member of Congress from prison. The answer is yes. Normally a tough thing to do but Gaetz district is deplorable shaped with people who are fine with pedos. Unless the pedos are are gay pizza making Dems.

Be sort of tough to vote, if he has access to email he could still filibuster.
All the more reason why it should be abolished.

A competent DOJ would be taking all of them down, including legitimately finding and filing new charges against Stone and the others ... and yeah Him too.

And I wouldn't be leaving Barroom Brett out of the party either.

While I applaud Kinzinger's statement, Kinzinger is very poorly respected among Trumplicans. I am anxiously waiting for someone with higher authority in the party to call for Gaetz's resignation.

Fixed.
