Apparently, these were posted on Matrox website, but they were removed fast. Someone too screenshots though:

Take it with grain of salt, and be sceptic. But if those specs are real.... 😀!

EDIT: Well, to my knowledge, those specs are fake.

Very Impressive, we'll see if Matrox will manage to deliver or not. Considering the page says June 2002 it will be out,we ought to know fairly soon. We'll see, but I'm holding my breath.

Gimme Gimme Gimme!!!!!
I hope these specs are for real and the launch date is right

102 million transistors is pretty darn hard to do. the die size will be huge, even at .13 with much of that being sram.

i'm guessing photoshop.

that said, if that product does exist, i'm alright lined up.

<< whether true or false, matrox seems to have something in the pipeline! >>

I think that's dead on. All these rumors of Matrox DX9 parts, Ace's Hardware being told by "close industry sources" that a G800 project exists (see here, etc. Only time will tell weather this is just another "Head Casting Engine" release😉

definetly fake

105 million transistors???

support for 64bit, 96bit and 128bit colors ???

a bit over the top😉 very nicely done though

hahaha

As much as I love Matrox, I don't believe those rumours. 🙂 It'd be nice if they meet a spec close to those though.

i'd rather be a matrox zealot than an nvidiot. at least matrox zealotry doesn't have its own nickname (voodoo zombies comes to mind)

<< Matrox zealotry at its best! LOL. >>

ROTFLMAO😛😀

You know it's bad when that's the only comeback you can come up with...pretty pathetic😉

At least Nvidiots have something to speak for😛 Matrox users are simply stroking their old G400 cards and proclaiming how awesome they are in the face of competition from ATi and NVIDIA that have blown them out of the water on all counts.

Besides, you want a Matrox zealot name...I'll give you one:

MATROBNOXIOUS!!!

<< NFS4: Will you make a term for us PocketPC zealots? 🙂 >>

That's a little bit harder to decipher 😉

Carmack's still shooting for 64bit color; I seriously doubt anyone's going to attempt 128bit for a long while yet.😱

Like I said, people close to Matrox have said that those specs are fake. But to my knowledge, the new part will have higher color-precision (but not 128bit!).

As for many G400 users still hanging on to their cards.... Says something about the quality of those cards, doesn't it 😉? Maybe they just feel that getting a GeForce would be a step back in some key areas (such as image-quality).

I call it denial. Being that I use DVI for my flat-panel, cards from ATI and NVIDIA completely blow away anything Matrox has to offer on ALL counts (including dual head-like features) for my needs.

sure they do sure they do. For the most of us who dont have flat panels then nothing can come close to the quality of Matrox cards. Dualhead like fetures that ati and nvidia makes are ok, except that the drivers for it are not exactly complete and allow full functionality, thats just what I'v been hearing from users who use it.

anyway
matrox is the greatest nenerneener neeener 😉
