Powerdvd refuses to run when my desktop is in 32-bit (1024x768) mode on an 8mb matrox G200, giving the following message:
"PowerDVD does not support the current display mode. (DDraw Overlay mode is recommended)
Please lower the screen resolution and color depth, for example, 800 x 600 with 256 colors. Or you may adjust the refresh frequency, for example, to 75 Hz."
In 16 bit mode it runs just fine.
Is this hardware limitation or down to low memory on the card?
Will upgrading my card to a cheap geforce 2 mx 32mb allow full 32 bit desktop support?
I could certainly do with the increase in 3d performance anyway!
Thanks for your time.
