Wasn't Intel the one that told me I needed a P4 to raise my web surfing experience to a new level?
Actually, this statement is completely correct. SSE2 does bring web surfing to a new level. It's just that this "new level" (of performance) is not perceivable my humans and barely so by benchmarks. It's just marketing speak.

I don't see a bit of difference between a P4 system on the internet and an AMD-K5 system, while the P4 has a clock 20 times higher.

Seen in an Intel banner advertisement:
"Take your tunes on the go. The new Pentium 4-M"

Just because Intel says something doesn't mean its good information. Its true that a P4 laptop can use MP3's, but they are falsely implying that other laptops can't.

Some of Intel's SSE2 instructions have been designed to speed up the rendering of web pages and multimedia. So yes, they were very much correct.

I need to sit down for this. BUAHAHHAHAHA :D
