I recently came across the knowledge that matrox had created turbogl drivers for quake 2 and quake 3, working not unlike 3dfxs glide drivers. Can anyone give me any more information on this, and if it were to work with half-life? I tried doing a search on it at www.matrox.com but nothing came up. Thank you for your time

well, i have them and use them when i'm in windows 98. basically, the setup for them searches your hard drive for supported games and installs the drivers and then you get higher fps. that's about it.

i don't play half life, so not sure...but if it has an open gl option, then there's a good chance it will work for that too.

what do you want to know? having trouble finding them?

I coiuld be wrong on this one but I believe that the TurboGL drivers were a temporary hack that was introduced about 18 months. I also believe that all this functionality now exists in more recent drivers.
For some good advice check out the forums at matroxusers.com. The chaps there can be quite helpfull.

i think kwango is right...i did a little looking around and realized that matrox doesn't really offer the turbo gl drivers much anymore! they are well over a year old, and i'm thinking that they have indeed incorporated everything into their newest win98 drivers.
