Anyone else see 13th floor and matrix reloaded?
 
If the key maker has a key for anything, why couldn't he make a key to get out of the room he was in? (assuming the keyhole was on his side of the door)
 
Yeah, I actually enjoyed 13th floor as well... plus you had the chance to figure it out before the movie tells you..

OK so MIB2 is a Matrix ripoff too. At the end they walk out of a locker just like the little guys in the airport locker. You can't tell me all these movies are the same. Each one is unique and happy to have been made.😀

Agreed. Besides, it's not like they wrote the Matrix, then the 13th floor came out then they wrote Reloaded & Revolutions.
 
Matrix borrows heavily from more than a handful of movies. Check out Dark City. Everything from the concept of people living in an artificial world and being unaware of it, to the "bullet-time" special effects came from there. Great movie also!

eh, it was *ok* at best. i only watched it because it was on HBO on a saturday. nothing special.

Well, I'd say it was mostly the idea that intrigued me...and then the twist at the end was pretty good.

Both movies were released in 1999. Or are you refering to Matrix Reloaded?

you're interpreting matrix reloaded wrong. a lot of the theories floating around make some sense at first because they answer one or two major inconsitencies, but they don't at all agree w/ many of the details. hard to say more w/o giving spoilers......


ummm, and although the movies might have similar themes, the matrix reloaded is far from being a ripoff. and realize that the matrix trilogy was written a while back. who's to say which script was written first???
