the fight scene between neo and the oracle's "secretary" looked and sounded like the crouching tiger fight near the end.

Correct, but apparently it's an easy mistake to make. The living section in Thursday's paper in our town ran a full page on the Matrix Reloaded, and they billed the twins as "Neo's new hardcore enemies". When my friend saw that, he was like, but Neo didn't fight the twins at all!

Nah, 13th Floor was awesome...The Matrices are also awesome.

I agree i really liked the 13th floor i thought it was great. The matricies also rule

and we cant say that the matrix is a ripoff of teh 13th floor before we all see revolutions. We dontr know if the real world is just another matrix. (13th floor) IE another form of controll. Or something else. My brother beleives that teh reason Neo stopped teh sentinals was because he had part of agent smith in him and because smith had controll over machines Neo now did also. I think hell full of it personally.

Also because Smith wants to kill Neo. that woulf Fuk up teh whole plan of restarting Zion and all that,

many things to be revealed in teh next one

The worlds are layered, just like they are in 13th Floor. The so-called 'real world' is just another simulation.

Actually, abros los ojos was a great movie that was similar to the matrix... They remade/bastardized that movie (Vanilla Sky) but the original was a spooky and interesting non-action sci/fi drama

um, how do you know??? there are about 5 different theories floating around and it turns out that you chose the least likely one to present on this thread, while at the same time posting a spoiler. good job.

Umm... Most of the fight scenes in Matrix Reloaded looked like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Espically the ones with Neo or Morpheus.

Both Existenz and 13th Floor are on the Sc-Fi channel today, just in case anybody wants to see them again.

Both are good movies.

I liked 13th Floor, but the Matrix movies are completely different. The 13th Floor was similar to Blade Runner, that being a fairly average individual finding out some truth. OTOH, Matrix is more similar to Star Wars where an epic battle and dire circumstances are a major part of the story. They are both similar in the underlying philosophy, but quite different in how that philosophy affects the characters.

Thats because Yuen Woo Ping was the fight choreographer for both films.

my gripe with the highway scene, how come the Twin are so stupid - one with the machine gun keeps shooting the CTS in the rear. it's no wonder he couldn't kill anybody.
