Yep. It would be more tempting at DVD quality, but watching it on my computer isn't that tempting at all :)

With p2p networks, its inevitable that it'll spread around like wildfire. But the studios really don't have to worry about the sales of movie tickets being impacted by it. Just look at how well LOTR did in the box office, and how well it did in dvd sales. People are still going to go see it in the movie theaters, because of the impact of seeing it on the big screen, and people will still buy it on DVD because of all the extras, and the fact that they want to own something that they can show off to friends. The point is, when the studios make a good movie, it'll sell itself. Piracy only hurts movies that aren't that great, and its a good thing too, because I'll never pay $10 to see those movies anyways.

man, you guys dont look hard enough. p2p crap sux big time, who the heck wanna download 600+ megs off someone's 56k. Its all in the newsgroup. even irc is fallen hard behind newsgroups.

I haven't check but xmen2 was on news group 3 days before any irc channel had it

xmen's mistake was doing a world release. The floating copy had chinese subtitles on it.

im sure m2 is on somewhere already...

Move theaters around here suck, my 1k projector gives a better picture than they do any my sound isnt even a comparison.... People have told me that if I get ahold of a dvdr early they will pay to watch it on my big screen.... 20 bucks a head but you never see dvdr early so im not expecting anything. The trailer kicks ass on my projector though.

Yeah I saw it up on packetnews a few days ago...that sh*t spread quick!

EDIT: OOPS just checked again...the 2CD I saw was the soundtrack...not the movie!! :p

It looks like there is a two CD soundtrack out there. Maybe people are confusing that?

lol @ the results on kazaa.... in all of the descriptions, "40daysand40nights.avi, panic.avi, joyride.avi" if they're gonna try to fake out someone, can't they at least spend the time to do it properly?
