Here's what this thread has proven....contemporary Christianity is a joke. Mathematical proof of God's existance...how arrogant is that? It's not about humility, or reaching any kind of spiritual equilibrium, it's about people throwing their voice across the room and calling it God.

You can toss your Bible's into the dumpster, the value of Christ is entirely contained within his words.

If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty.

Math can't prove that.

Thanks Engine, for getting us back on topic.

That's an interesting opinion concerning logic. No, it's not about humility. It's about thinking. As the original author said, this is for those who must come to an understanding in the mind before they can come to an understanding in the heart.

New Testament Apocrypha is simply rehashed Gnostic heresies, never accepted as canon by any church. The most credibility that book ever received was in Stigmata. These constantly resurface as "The Lost Books of the Bible". Thing is, they were never lost. They were never accepted.

Math can't prove that.

Mathematics (i.e. logic) can prove many things.

So what if God wants those who accept Him by faith, and not mathematics. What if God did not want you to pin him down in such a manner. Could you prove it logically in spite of Gods objections?

God says (so that you won't think I'm taking credit) that we are to worship in Spirit and Truth. With our Mind as well as our Hearts. In other words, we are commanded to use logic/reason.

Come, Let Us Reason: An Introduction to Logical Thinking is a great primer for the Christian looking to improve his thinking skills.
