A belt is going on a pulley (wheel) at 3600ft/sec. If the pulley has a radius of 2/pi , what is the speed of the belt in revolutions/min ?

You shouldn't even need a calculator for this one! Try reading the book before you do your homework.

Jesus Christ dude, the answer's 900RPM, you don't even have to do any wierd stuff because they put the radius in terms of freaking pi!. DIAF, FOAD, and all that good stuff.

Jesus Christ dude, the answer's 900ft/sec(or if you prefer, 900RPM), you don't even have to do any wierd stuff because they put the radius in terms of freaking pi!. DIAF, FOAD, and all that good stuff.

I don't think that's right. The belt goes 4 ft/revolution. Therefore it goes at 900 revolutions/sec, which corresponds to 15 revolutions/minute. Read the problem carefully.
