I got my SAT scores back from the college board. Apparently I missed 6 questions in the math section which results in a 700 . Do you have to get all the answers correct to receive 800 or can you omit or even miss a couple?

I think 800 = perfect score = all answers correct.

Naw, it doesn't. I think that you can still miss a few and get an 800.

For example, I KNOW that I missed one on the SAT II writing, but I still got an 800.

it depends on the test, more difficult tests will have a larger curve while easier tests will not.

It all depends on how everyone else did. If everyone sucked, then you don't need all the questions correct to get an 800. If everyone rocked, then perhaps you do.

i was always under the impression that you could miss a few and get a perfect, but maybe it does depend on how everyone else did.

But I never had to worry about things like that... unfortunately

It depends on your raw score, and it depends on the form of the test.

For example, in a test of 50 questions, you could score:

• 800 if you answered 44 right, 4 wrong, and left 2 blank
  750 if you answered 40 right, 8 wrong, and left 2 blank
  700 if you answered 35 right, 8 wrong, and left 7 blank
  650 if you answered 30 right, 12 wrong, and left 8 blank
  600 if you answered 25 right, 16 wrong, and left 9 blank
