(1+0+4+0+16) - (1+0+0+8+16)

what? (1+0+4+0+16) - (1+0+0+8+16)????/

Thats the correct math

go right to left for each binary ((1*2^0)+(0*2^1)+ (1*2^2)+(0*2^3) + (1*2^4))-((1*2^0)+(0*2^1)+(0*2^2)+(1*2^3)+(1*2^4))

Something tells me the OP doesn't know his binary ;)

I know my binary stuff. just didnt understand why evadman put (1+0+4+0+16) - (1+0+0+8+16) . My teacher from my last class and the teacher I have this current quarter hasnt taught us about (1+0+4+0+16) - (1+0+0+8+16) method.

thats not a method....thats just what the numbers stand for mathmatically! :p
