Math Question

We have to do this without a calculator
cot(40) - sin(50)/sin(40)

I'm lost and besides some thoughts, I have no clue where to start. The notes don't help either because she gave two examples much different than this.

cot = cos/sin

cos40 / sin40 - sin50 / sin40

(cos 40 - sin 50) / sin40

Thank you very much! I was just beginning to th ink of the first line, it all makes sense now 🙂

Slide rule 😉

lol

actually, I think the problem has to do with the relationship between tan and cos and sin, not sure though

I know, I was just bugging you 😉
And i forgot if cot = sin/cos or cos/sin or what.. lol

But come to think of it, I want one of those circular slide rules. fvck those are cool.

What grade/college level = you?

11th grade

Next year I'll be taking either Calc AB AP or BC AP, AB is half of BC basically and half college credit

I'll look into what my major will have me do in terms of math for college, if BC helps me, I'll take it probably
