ok, anyone here good at math?? I really need some help on this:

Implicitly differentiate y=xy+y+x+sqrt(x)y. and solve for the
derivative of y.

Thanks

What exactly are you having difficulties with? You just differentiate term by term, using the product rule when necessary. Then do some algebra to isolate y'.

If no one solves it by around three tomorrow, PM me and I'll write it out. Not now, though, sleep....

I got:
y' = y + xy' + y' + 1 + sqrt(x) y' + y (1/2)x^(-1/2)
--> y' = {-y - (1/2)y x^(-1/2) - 1}/(x + x^(1/2))

Does it look right?

Why do I even bother trying to help somebody learn on these forums?
