Math Question about e^(x^2)

Ok, you cannot take the integral of e^(x^2), however, you can integrate from a to be on e^(x^2). my question is this: if you integrate over this function is the value you get only approximate and not the exact value? or is there some way to in fact take the integral of this function over the length a-b and find the exact value?

As you said, e^(x^2) has no elementary antiderivative; therefore, its value over a given interval can only be approximated.
