the most i can think is G can be 5 and T being 0, but i got stuck there.

Louis Sachar, author of Sideways Stories From Wayside School wrote two books Sideways Arithmetic From Wayside School and More Sideways Arithmetic From Wayside School that have a lot of math puzzles like that one.

Like you wrote, W has to be less than 5.

Then I just busted out the pencil and paper and worked through it. There might be other solutions but I haven't been able to find them if they exist.

I'm trying to work out a good solution but it's taking some time.

Nobody cares but I thought I'd put it up anyway.

We need to solve for the variables in the equation:
2 (10000W +1000R + (100)O +10N +G) = 10000R +1000I + 100G +10H + T
with the conditions that W<5, each letter is a digit 0-9 and 2 letters can not be the same number. As a side note, O makes a crappy variable.

I used a spreadsheet to check all of the values from 0 to 49999 and found 41 solutions for the value of WRONG which can be used to calculate RIGHT. Not quite the 42 solutions that OdiN suggested but pretty close.
