What did the mathematician say after Thanksgiving dinner?

sqrt(-1/64)

If you don't get it.. just think about it for a minute.

I'm a l33t math0r and I'd say i over 8.

Do they also say 1 over dx times dy or one-dx-th times dy? Or dy over dx?

Edit: nvm not trying to start anything on t3h onlines

It's like using unit vectors x hat and y hat. If you think about the complex plane, you have two "unit vectors" 1 and i (they form an orthogonal basis for the plane). Therefore, in order to make the direction of the vector explicit, you say the magnitude of the direction and then the direction itself, like 1/8*i.

It's ok to say "Integral of dx over x from 1 to 2" or something like that.

Right... I think solving it is kind of intuitive. Anyway, astrocase got it.
