Idiot is relative... I've seen people (including myself) ask simple calculus or number theory problems on this board.

360=18/200x

360/(18/200)=x

4000=x

Let's make some substitutions to make it clearer:

a=360
b=x
c=200
d=18
e=b/c
f=e
g=a/e
h=a/f

That gives us:
h=df/e
a/f=df/e
a/e=de/e
a/(b/c)=d
a(c/b)=d
ac/b=d
ac=db
ac/d=b
ac/dc=b/c

this isn't simple calculus, this is basic, basic, BASIC algebra.

maybe i'm being harsh, but the mathematical capacity of some people in this country is just... shocking.

You deserve to fail. The reason why you can't understand the problem and solve it is probably because someone told you the answer to what 2+2 is.
 
When youve been out of school for a bit, and you try to actually better yourself by going back to school and people insult your intelligence shows that half you people are in your underwear chuckling away typing here.

how old are you?
what kind of math are you taking?
have you done your homework?
have you been paying attention at class?
